About KATS

KATS is a medium-sized theatre group located in West Berkshire. We were formed around 1968, initially as an offshoot of the Kennet School PTA in Thatcham, Berkshire. Although we became an independent society many years ago, we are still affiliated to the school and stage many of our larger productions in the school hall. We also stage smaller shows at Bucklebury Memorial Hall.

KATS became a registered charity in 2012.

We are renowned throughout the Thatcham and Newbury area for our wide range of popular entertainment and our busy schedule means that we are always looking for new members to join the fun!

We are also a very social group and often meet in the pub after rehearsal or arrange other events such as theatre trips, quiz nights and the annual boules tournament.

KATS is proud to be a member of NODA (National Operatic & Dramatic Association).
