August 1 - August 3 2002
The Shakespeare Revue
KATS are going 'up-market' with a touch of Will Shakespeare this summer.

We'll be soliloquising with Hamlet,
washing our hands of Lady Macbeth
and romanticising with Romeo
in a serious comedy entitled

The Shakespeare Revue

First presented by the RSC at The Barbican Centre and subsequently in the West End,
the Revue incorporates many specially commissioned items,
penned by such notable authors as Fry & Laurie, Victoria Wood, Maureen Lipman and of course,
Shakespeare himself (in conjunction with Stephen Sondheim!).
This is the Bard as you've never seen him before,
with more than a splash of irreverence,
a copious dash of farce
and
several glamorous, glitzy production numbers thrown in for good measure!

Devised by Christopher Luscombe and Malcolm McKee.
By arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
